Cyndi is known worldwide for her career as an American singer, songwriter, actress, and activist. With a legacy spanning over 40 years, you can imagine how successful she is!

The artist's first album, called "Seh's So Unusual" (1983), was her debut project, which led her to achieve four top five hits on the Billboard Hot 100: "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," "Time After Time," "She Bop," and "All Through the Night." The compilation earned Lauper the Best New Artist award at the 1985 Grammy Awards.

The album was so successful that "True Colors" (1986) was included in the soundtrack of the film "The Goonies," released in the same year. In addition to "True Colors," this album includes the track "Change of Heart," which reached number 3 on the Billboard charts.

In 1989, Cyndi once again became a worldwide sensation with the song "I Drove All Night".

The musical won 5 other Tony Awards, including Best New Musical. In 2014, Lauper won the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album for the cast recording.

Cyndi Lauper has sold over 50 million records worldwide. Furthermore, she has been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This makes her one of the few singers to win three of the four major American entertainment awards.
